Eldorado Studio Tour, September 19 and 20, 2026

The Eldorado Arts and Crrafts Association has been busy making its magic again. Please mark your calendars and plan to come to Studio #54. This year the Studio Tour offers over 100 artists and 60 studios to choose from over 2 days. Check out the Preview Gallery to help you narrow your list.

The EACA is an integral part of the Eldorado Community. Our Studio Tour, the largest and longest running in New Mexico, brings people from both nearby communities, as well as, out-of-state attendees to our area. During each of the previous 5 tours, Armantrout Studio welcomed over 165 guests.

Rich conversations and sales with our neighbors, art writers, SITE Santa Fe Board Members, National Women in the Arts Board Members, Canyon Road Gallery managers, and artists and collectors in the New Mexico arts community make this a special event in our home gallery and studio. See our YouTube Channel for previous tours. We also welcome guests year round by appointment.

Notes from Armantrout Studio, April, 2026

Ascension2025 was a blockbuster year for Armantrout Studio. Thank you to all who joined us for two major Events. The Eldorado Studio Tour was extremely exciting with rich conversations and lots of sales. Linda's Solo Show on December 5, 2025 at Big Happy Gallery followed. It was perfect. Experience some of the joy at the Armantrout Studio YouTube Channel.

Linda has been coming into 2026 gently, searching for equanimity in changing times. May art be part of your processing, too. The Eldorado Studio Tour will be welcoming you and on September 19th and 20th. You are always welcome to call 505-660-9020 and come by to see the available paintings and new work in process.

Of course, a visit to Eldorado to soak up the beauty is always a good idea.

Big Happy Gallery Exhibition through January 17, 2026

Linda Armantrout’s luminous paintings explore connection, color, and animal presence—images that feel both tender and otherworldly.

"Messengers of Change""Hovering between light and shadow, “Messengers of Change” evokes a quiet, watchful presence—part guardian, part omen. Armantrout’s use of deep indigos and luminous whites turns the figure into a threshold being, carrying news from one state to another. As in much of her work, animals become conduits for connection, intuition, and transformation, asking us to pause and listen for what is shifting beneath the surface." Stephen Parise

"Ascension’ by Linda Armantrout — a dreamlike convergence of animal guardians moving through light and shadow. Armantrout’s luminous palette and flowing lines evoke the quiet pulse of connection between seen and unseen worlds. This painting feels like a breath held between realms, where instinct, spirit, and transformation rise together.-Stephen Parise

"Ascension"

Linda Armantrout Exhibition at Big Happy Gallery

Waiting to be seenLinda Armantrout: …will we know what they are saying?

On view: December 5, 2025–January 17, 2026
Opening reception: Friday, December 5, 5:00-7:00 pm

Location: 1300 Luisa Street, #3A, Santa Fe, New Mexico

"In her exhibition, …will we know what they are saying?,
Linda Armantrout continues her exploration of the interconnection between the spiritual and natural worlds. Each painting serves as a contemplative act—a visual prayer—guided by meditation and intuition. Her engagement with animal imagery reflects a deepening awareness of kinship across species. By privileging emotional resonance over intellectual control, Armantrout allows the unexpected to shape meaning as it emerges through the act of painting."—Stephen Parise

The title of the exhibition comes from the Gary Lawless poem, When The Animals Come To Us.
