Welcome to Armantrout Studio

Linda Armantrout sold this 60" x 72" diptych, titled "Leaving a Mark in Pursuit of Oneness" in March, 2012. Armantrout Studio is the working studio and classroom of artist Linda Armantrout. Her work is about gesture and color .  Linda has been encouraged by curators, Sally L. Perisho, Ken Bloom, and Jerry Allen Gilmore.  Her work was selected into group exhibits by Dianne Vanderlip and Gwen Chanzit (Denver Art Museum), and she received a juror’s award from Debra Jordy. Rough God Goes Riding

"Rough God Goes Riding", 24x36 inches, original Sold, Giclees available.Linda has finished reading "Color Creates Light—Studies with Hans Hofmann. This extremely enriching experience is sure to inform the planar structure of paintings to come. The classes that Linda teaches have already been based in teachings of Hofmann. The painting shown is in a private collection in Longmont, Colorado. Giclee prints are available.

Ute Country Sojourn

The Roaring Fork River, the Ute Trail switchback, Shorts Film Festival, Aspen Art Museum, and galleries were all enriching and sure to inform Linda's process and studio practice. Three great paintings placed in Telluride, Colorado

Thanks to Rodney Briggs of Ralph Lauren Home Collection for his continued support in placing these paintings in a stunning environment. Linda Armantrout is especially thrilled that the paintings chosen reflect the history and prehistory of the area.

Energy Moving in the Studio

"Power Image #7-Connections to Ancestors", Oil on Canvas, 30x40 inchesThree paintings have been put on client HOLD until March 27, "Leaving a Mark" , "I am...", and "Wind River Mustangs".  "Power Image #7-Connection to Ancestors" was released from a HOLD today. Linda has begun her painting for the Alzheimer's Fundraiser for a May 1st deadline. There will be an online auction in addition to the Live Auction this year. Linda thanks Candice Pulliam for the invitation, and is looking forward to seeing old friends at the Artists Thank You party in Mid-May.

Spring in Colorado

A few glorious days in Colorado allowed this painting to begin. Linda's studio practice increases in intensity. Students from out of state are wrapping up an eight week session. Plans for the 3-day workshop in Ridgway in late August continue to develop. Students continue to enjoy working with Linda Armantrout at Creative Framing Art Gallery in downtown Louisville.
