Exploring Ute Culture

This painting resulted from a connection made to the Elk Creek Ranch area and a client question about the Ute tribe in the Meeker area. A reading of the history of the area reveals the pride of the Utes who were fisherman and hunters and horsemen. The painting tells that story of pride in life lived in the area. The painting is titled "I am...". It is part of the Connection to Ancestors Series."I am..." 30"x30"/oil on canvas.
