The Glory Series is about the coexistence of the Divine and the mundane. Previously, Linda painted, plein air, an immediate and spontaneous series of 5”x7” impressions, Soul Smiles. The 12”x12” Glory Series is an explosion of those images into expressions. The forms become abstracted by scale and deletion. The color is perceptual.

Current work from nature slides on the continuum between representational and abstract. Armantrout plays with backlight and color in the positive and the negative spaces, and energizes repetition with variety.
