Basic Design 1 & 2

Basic Design 1 - Relationships within the frameLearn the elements and principles of design. Learn to support content in your 2-D work. Learn to work in a sketchbook to develop ideas. Learn to add impact to your 2 dimensional compositions.

 Basic Design 2 - Color TheoryBased on the color theory of Johannes Itten, this class will awaken your ability with color. Painting exercises with casein paint will lead you to integrate color contrasts and color harmonies. You will develop an understanding of the difference between intensity and value and learn to manage color relationships.

Call now for a seat in Basic Design 2-Color Theory  for Fall, 2012. Classes offered on Saturdays from 10:00am to 12:30pm. This class requires an interview and the intention of completing the 20 week program. Classes are taught at CFA Gallery, 916 Main Street in Louisville, Colorado's Arts District. Basic Design 1-Relationships within the Frame will be offered as a series of workshops starting in January, 2013.

Basic Design 2 is a color mixing class that benefits intermediate and advanced students of art who want to deepen their understanding of Color.  Maximum of 6 students, minimum of 3 students. Basic Design 1 will benefit beginning and advanced artists. Call Linda 303-664-0086 for info. Dates posted in September.
